FAQ's

How long have you been a portrait photographer?
I have been a portrait photography for 4 years, and a fine art/nature photographer for 11 years. I am a self taught photographer and have been playing with cameras and posing and lighting since I was a little girl.
Do you have a studio?
No, I do not.
Where will our session take place?
I am an On Location, Natural Light photographer
What areas do you service?
I primarily service Sierra Vista, Hereford, Fort Huachuca, and Huachuca City. Currently, travel outside of these areas requires a minimum travel fee of $25--for specific travel fee amount, please email me at toric.custom.photography@gmail.com
How far in advance do we need to book?
Sessions are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis. Popular times such as Fall & Spring weekends book quickly.

If you are planning on booking a time sensitive session (Newborn, Engagements, Weddings), please email me at toric.custom.photography@gmail.com.

When is payment for the session required?
A signed contract is required to hold the date for your session. The session fee is requested on or before the day of the shoot, and no proofs or products will be delivered until payment is made in full.
Do you take credit cards?
Payment for portrait sessions may be made by cash, check or credit card (Paypal).
What should we wear?
I have a few amazing Session Guides that detail some of the best practices to prepare yourself for your session.

What happens if it rains on the day of our session?
Because I don't have a studio, if it rains there are two options: #1 we can reschedule, or #2 we can roll with it and get some shots of you in the rain! It's your session, and I want to bring you the funnest, happiest moments.
How long will our portrait session last?
Portrait sessions last 1 hour, though I might not be able to stop at that marker!
How many photographs will you take during our session?
I take an unlimited amount of photographs at every session--you never know when that perfect photo will be captured, and I would hate to miss it because of a limitation.
Do you deliver every image you shoot?
I carefully curate the photos to provide you with the best options from your session--if a photo is blurry, out of focus, or over/under exposed, I will likely remove it before editing.
How long after the session can I expect to receive my photos?
For portrait sessions, you can expect your photos to be ready  within 1 to 2 weeks of your session date. For weddings, expect your photos within 4 to 6 weeks  after your wedding day (each wedding is different).
What is the "online gallery"?
Your online gallery is where your photos are kept during the 'proofing' process, and is also where you will be downloading your digital files. You will be able to favourite your top picks during your 'proofing' session.
Can my family order photos at a separate time?
At this time I am not offering prints, but I am hoping to do so in the future!
Do you keep the photos after the shoot?
I will keep your full session (all images in High Resolution without watermark) for 1 year after your session date, just in case you want to order more prints or albums. I will send out reminder emails as the removal date gets closer.
Do you photoshop our images?
The only reason I use photoshop is to place my watermark on photos. I edit all of the photographs in Adobe Lightroom. When it comes to editing, I go with the flow of you (the client), the session itself, and the overall mood portrayed by everyone and everything involved. I do not provide selective colouring, nor do I do extensive retouching of the people in the photos.
What happens if my child is ill?
Please, PLEASE do not cancel your session if you or your child are ill--I am able, willing, and would prefer to reschedule your session. I know that kids get sick, and that can easily transfer to parents and other siblings. I am happy to reschedule for when everyone is well again!
Our child can't sit still--how is this even going to happen?
Active kids are amazing! Don't stress about moving, running, jumping, or playing bodies--I love active children. Kids don't sit still very often, which is why I love working with them. It is a part of childhood, and that is what I love to capture in the photos I will be delivering to you.

What about copy-write of the images?
Tori C. Photography retains the copyright to all of the images. You receive an unlimited personal use print release that is lifetime guaranteed. If you are wanting to sell your images or use them commercially, a commercial print release may be purchased for an additional fee. If you are submitting your images to blogs, newspapers, or magazines for announcements, a credit to Tori C. Photography is required.
Do you blog everything? How many photos will you include in your blog post?
I blog most of the portrait sessions and weddings that I photograph--my blog isn't just for updates, it is my portfolio.  I blog between 10 and 30 photos from each session, depending on the type of session (newborns and weddings, for example, usually have more photos than other portrait sessions). If I didn't blog your session but you wanted me to, please contact me!
