What is Custom Photography? What is a Personal Photographer?

I am here to capture your personality, what makes you, your family, or your relationship unique--this is what Custom Portraiture is about. But more than that, I want to get to know you and I want you to show me your world. I will photograph the magical and the mundane, your work and your play--I want to help you remember your story in the future as it unfolds in the present. 

A Little About Me

I first experienced a deep love for photography when I was seven years old and received my first film camera--it only grew from there, and in high school when I was given my first digital camera, I was off! I took pictures all the time and always had my camera with me. Anything,  anyone--EVERYTHING--was my subject, my model, the topic of whatever personal project I was currently working on.

Over the years I have learned that capturing the special moments in life is crucial--memory fails, and we are only human. I am the mother of two amazing children, so I know how important it is to capture their personalities and some of the most precious moments in their young lives. I am also an Army wife, so I completely understand the desire--and even the need!--to get pictures with your loved ones before you, or they, deploy or go off for training.

I tend to focus more on children and families, but I would LOVE help you capture any special moments you want to cherish forever!

Outside of photography, I am an author and an avid reader; I love binge watching shows, and some of my favourites are Supernatural, Doctor Who, and Star Trek. I love nature and hiking (I also have offer Fine Art Nature Photography). I almost always have a camera on me--if not my Canon Rebel, then my cellphone camera will do--and photography isn't just a business to me, it is a passion of mine.
