Sierra Vista Cars in the Park

(Finally posting the images from the car show, sorry it took so long!)

All of last week I was looking forward to getting out of the house and getting some fresh air--I've been sick for about a week and a half (still working on getting over it as I write this), so I haven't been very active at all. I didn't care if I was sick, I needed to go out this weekend. And the perfect excuse to go out? Sierra Vista's Cars in the Park! Gorgeous cars, new and classic, were lined up to be ogled in our Veterans Memorial Park on October 8th.

Note: Let me tell you right now that I am not a car person--I do not know a lot about them. I did learn a few things about my dream car at the show though, which was neat. But, in case you are wondering what sort of car something is or why I don't talk shop in this post, this is why. I'd have no idea what I was saying. I did this because I truly do love aesthetically pleasing cars, especially the classics; also because I wanted to practice different types of sessions and editing. So please forgive me if I don't know the types and models of the cars (if I do, I will make sure to make a note of it). And if anyone knows what the cars are, please email me and tell me!

I grew up going to car shows, at least once a year but normally quite a bit more. In Monterey, CA we had a lot of street shows, but there was one that always got me excited--the Concours. This amazing event is "[an exhibition of] prewar and postwar along with the latest in concept car designs." I was able to attend a few times in my life, and man were those cars to die for. That event primarily exhibited the newer cars, and the more expensive ones--nothing wrong with that, but I love going downtown and seeing the old classics on display. I've always wanted to get some amazing shots of those cars, and the Sierra Vista Cars in the Park gave me that opportunity.

So, without further adeu, here are some of my favourite vehicles from the Sierra Vista Cars in the Park:

If I gave you a card and you don't see your vehicle featured here (or if you see your vehicle here and want the shots), please email me and I will send you the photos I took!
